Good sub for rock/alternative?

I drive a 98 camry and have a great aftermarket system already. However I do not have a sub and am looking to add one to get better lows. I listen to stuff like foo fighters nickleback nirvana pearl jam rise against smashing pumpkins ect ect. So I was just wondering what sub, size and type, would be best for my car and my type of music and some reasons why. Thanks for all the help!!
