Hair extentions....can I glue then on as my hair is very fine.?

I have short hair and would love hair extentions. Is there any way I can glue then in and would I be able to just wash my hair that way? Also, does anyone know of a "good" wig that looks natural and is longer. I have a smaller face, but would love to have longer hair at my age...48...my hair grows very slow and will never get it to that length in my life ! Help What about Paula Young??? Any suggestions would help.
