Since I was feeling down lately, I have an animal question/riddle....?

Since I was feeling down lately, I'm trying to lift my spirits with this animal question. I have an animal question/riddle. 2 animals came in. 1 is small & green & wants to sell me an insurance policy. The other animal is an animal like the other one except a different kind that's bigger & looks more like an alligator, except without the big alligator teeth & has a long tongue instead & this bigger animal is singing a song called "Home". Any ideas about what these animals are? Also for a bonus question(BQ)--Do you have any favorite songs or albums by the second (bigger) animal?
